On the eastern shore of the Chesapeake Bay, Neavitt is a at the very end of the soutern pennisula below St Michael's, MD. A small, charming town, it offers a calmer, peaceful way of living. Neavitt offers both private and public piers for boating and fishing. A local park is also available. Neavitt is surrounded by the Choptank River which is home ot a myriad of different forms of wildlife including turtles, eagles, osprey, and deer.
Neavitt is near many attractions to explore and restaurants for dining. Both St Michales and Tilgman Island are within easy driving distance. St Michaels is a renown shore town with vintage shops and inns on the waterfront. Tilgman Island offers marinas for sailing cruses and crabbing adventures. For major shopping needs, the city of Easton is west of St Michaels and in easy driving distance. The historic town of Oxford is within a short driving distance via a local ferry.
Boating and fishing are easily done from piers and shoreline areas around Neavitt. For birders, a wild varietie of bird species can be viewed nearby. Boat cruises can offer breathtaking views of the shore and the natural surroundings. For bikers, the flat terrain offers miles of easy riding. The Dupont Nature Sanctuary is right next to Neavitt and offers birdwatching and nature viewing tours for the public.
